"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less
traveled by, and that has made all the difference"
- Robert Frost.
Hunter Valley, New South Wales
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the Hunter Valley's Wine
Country, a small but distinct valley has been quietly producing
some of the best fruit the Hunter Valley has to offer.
With discrete microclimate and seasonal changes different from
the rest of the Valley, the alchemy of a little area known as Mount
View has the perfect winemaking atmosphere to create special
wines. The Mount View area contains 3 small-protected sub
valleys with highly favourable soils influenced by the large
proportion of limestones in the underlying rocks. Terra Rossa
clays over crumbly limestone and free draining red and brown clay
loams cover the hill slopes and are planted with red varieties as
well as Chardonnay. Alluvial loams along the vineyards creek
flats are ideal soils for Semillon and Verdelho.
Enjoy the Hunter how it used to be, or experience it as it
was. A relaxed, unhurried existence where you can take time
to take time.
