The colour is green gold. Apple and pear dominate the nose with underlying complexity from barrell fermentation and lees contact. The palate is ,long and rich, driven by stonefruit and subtle French oak. Whilst drinking well now the wine will improve and blossom for up to 6 years

This wine has a vibrant green colour with lifted aromas of passionfruit, goosberries and citrus. The wines shows strong varietal character and good balance on the palate with a clean, crisp finish.

2009 Jokers Peak Verduzzo

14% Alcohol,  8.3 Standard drinks

The Jokers Peak Vineyard is situated on the slopes of Mount Canobolas, at elevations of 750-800 metres.

Grown predominately in the Friuli - Venezia and Veneto regions of Northeast Italy, Verduzzo can be dry and or austere to a dessert style.

Our Jokers Peak example is green-gold in colour. This wine displays a mineral character on the palate, with subtle stone fruit and a lingering acidic finish. This wine should cellar very well.

2008 Jokers Peak Cabernet Merlot


BOTTLING SPECIFICATION:

14% Alcohol,  8.3 Standard drinks

Appearance: A rich inky purple colour.

Nose: Cabernet fruits dominate the nose with cassis and blackberry.

Palate: Long and well structured the cabernet aromas transfer to the palate along with some red berry characters associated with the merlot component. Tannins are present but not overbearing and that Orange region acidity is slightly apparent.

Food Match: A dish of lamb or beef chops would work well.

Cellaring: This wine will benefit from medium to long term cellaring, 5-8 yrs under ideal conditions.

Appearance: A rich inky purple colour.

Nose: The usual downfall of cool climate cabernet, greenness, is not evident. Sweet black fruits come across with a little oak.

Palate: Long and intense, the cabernet aromas transfer to the palate along with subtle tannins and good currant spice. A palate coater that is big yet full of finesse. Tannins are present but not overbearing and that Orange region acidity is slightly apparent.

Food Match: A dish of lamb or beef chops would work well.

Cellaring: This wine will benefit from medium to long term cellaring, 6-9 yrs, and under ideal conditions, perhaps even a dozen years.

2009 Jokers Peak Pinot Noir


BOTTLING SPECIFICATION:

14.5 % Alcohol,  8.6 Standard drinks

Quite Burgundian in style, this good cool climate pinot shows nice red berries and cherry characters on the nose. These characters move onto the palate and combine with a subtle spice and firm tannin structure.

Cellaring - 10yrs.

Food Match - a great accompaniment to Duck!
