Tallavera Grove Vineyard
A visit to Tallavera Grove is a unique experience. The stunning views and vineyard covered hillsides of this serene, tranquil valley are as rewarding to behold as the wines are to taste.
Tallavera Grove represents the culmination of decades of experience and research by Geologist Dr John Davis. John has committed himself to seeking out ideal wine growing localities and has developed high quality vineyards in several of Australia’s finest wine regions and has passed this passion onto his son Tim.
At Tallavera Grove we have access to fruit of first class quality plus advanced viticultural and winemaking techniques. We invite you to sample the results; wines of outstanding and distinctive character made in small quantities meaning most of our range is only available through Cellar Door. Indulge in the ambience of Tallavera Grove next time you are in the Hunter Valley. Sit back, relax and take it all in.
HUNTER VALLEY (est 1994)
Established in 1994, our Hunter Valley vineyard, Tallavera Grove, enjoys a warm coastal climate specialising in the traditional local varieties of Semillon, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Shiraz. One of the special features of this vineyard it the diversity of soil types, elevation and aspect. The 70 acres (28 hectares) of vines grow on terra rossa clay loams on limestone, red duplex loams over marly shales or alluvial brown loams on the creek flats. Some of the new alternative varieties which have flourished here include Vermentino and Sagrantino.
